Domenica 3 aprile 2022 si terrà la cerimonia di premiazione della 64esima edizione dei Grammy Awards, gli Oscar della musica più ambiti da popstar e rockstar internazionali. È stata annunciata la line-up provvisoria degli artisti che si esibiranno sul palco, mentre altri nomi devono essere ancora comunicati. Tra i primi nomi ci sono Billie Eilish, BTS, Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X, Olivia Rodrigo, Brandi Carlile e Brothers Osborne.
Olivia Rodrigo è alla sua prima nomination ai Grammy ed è anche la prima artista filippina a essere candidata. Ma non solo: è la seconda artista più giovane in nomination in tutte e quattro le categorie principali: Album dell’anno, Record dell’anno, Canzone dell’anno e Miglior nuovo artista. Billie Eilish detiene attualmente sette vittorie ai Grammy nel corso della sua carriera. È stata nominata ai Grammy Awards 2022 in ben sette categorie: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Music Video e Best Film musicale. I BTS invece sono in nomination per la migliore performance di duo/gruppo pop per il loro successo “Butter”.

Le nomination sono state annunciate il 23 novembre 2021, in diretta streaming sul sito ufficiale. Tra le novità di questa edizione, l’aggiunta di due nuove categorie che diventano complessivamente 86. Inoltre il numero degli artisti per le quattro categorie principali è salito a dieci, rispetto agli otto dello scorso anno.
La cerimonia di premiazione dei Grammy Awards 2022 si terrà il 3 aprile: gli artisti saliranno sul palco dell’MGM Grand Garden Arena di Las Vegas. L’evento sarà presentato da Trevor Noah.
